“Tonalchemy” is a moment of inspiration to consciously shift one’s inner world through utilizing the power of the voice, pranayama, and chanting. It is a space to feel encouraged to recall your soul’s primordial essence through sound and vibration, pitch and frequency.
During this 90 minute exploration, participants will be guided through a series of exercises designed to bring deep awareness to their breath using pranayama techniques, followed by expansion exercises, mantra chanting, and toning.
Countless studies show how switching from involuntary to voluntary breathing can stimulate our immune system, bringing healing and clarity to the mind, body, and spirit, oftentimes rivaled by psychedelic experiences of deep self-love and gratitude, euphoria, calm, and or bliss. By combining these efforts with the vocal technology of bija mantras and vowel expression, we bring vibration to each of our cells, physically allowing a sense of peace to wash through our bodies.
To utilize the voice to express the inner workings of the soul, Troy began to dive more into mantra chanting during his YTT in Rishikesh, India in 2019 at World Peace Yoga School. Although currently based in Costa Rica, Troy has been traveling the world as a sound therapist for the past 5 years, offering his sound journeys as a safe space for people to “have the conversation” with their most inner self and The Self.. This 2-hour workshop explores how the body and mind communicate—through sensation, movement, breath, and awareness—and how understanding this relationship can transform the way you practice, teach, and live.
We’ll break down key anatomical systems relevant to yoga (muscles, fascia, nervous system, and breath mechanics) and examine how mental states such as stress, focus, and emotion directly influence physical patterns like tension, mobility, and stability. Through a blend of simple anatomy education, guided movement, and experiential exercises, you’ll learn to feel anatomy rather than memorize it.
This workshop is designed to help you move with greater intelligence, reduce unnecessary strain, and deepen your ability to listen to your body. Expect a balance of discussion, visual explanation, mindful movement, and reflection—accessible to both practitioners and teachers.
You’ll explore:
- How the nervous system shapes strength, flexibility, and recovery
- The relationship between stress, attention, and physical tension
- Why certain poses feel available one day and restricted the next
- How awareness and intention can change movement outcomes
- Practical tools to apply mind–body insight on and off the mat
Who it’s for:
Open to all levels. Ideal for curious practitioners, yoga teachers, and anyone interested in understanding their body more clearly and compassionately.Leave with a clearer map of your inner landscape—and a more integrated, intelligent approach to movement and self-awareness.
This session blends a guided yoga flow with an educational workshop focused on anatomical cueing—how precise, thoughtful language can create safer, more effective, and more meaningful movement experiences.
We’ll move through a thoughtfully designed flow while unpacking why certain cues work, how different bodies receive them, and how anatomy, sensation, and intention intersect in real time. Rather than memorizing scripts, you’ll learn how to cue from understanding—adapting poses, transitions, and language to support strength, ease, and awareness.
Throughout the experience, we’ll pause to explore key anatomical concepts (muscles, joints, fascia, and nervous system influences) and immediately apply them in movement. The result is a deeper felt understanding of alignment, effort, and release—both as a practitioner and as a guide.
This 2-hour workshop is designed to help you move, practice, and teach with greater safety, confidence, and adaptability. Rather than focusing on “perfect alignment,” we’ll explore how injuries often arise from repeated patterns, lack of awareness, or pushing past individual limits—and how thoughtful modifications can support longevity in movement.
Through a blend of practical anatomy, mindful movement, and real-world examples, you’ll learn how to recognize early warning signs in the body, understand common injury patterns in yoga and fitness, and apply modifications that support strength, stability, and ease without sacrificing the integrity of the practice.
This workshop emphasizes choice and responsiveness—learning how to meet the body where it is on any given day, whether you’re recovering, managing chronic issues, or simply aiming to move more sustainably.
